So, i put my sye in a week ago, i still have vibes from the rear, what gives?? someone told me to get leaf shims, the springs i have came from the junk yard and put me somewhere around 5inches, already had a wedgy looking thang on the bottom, who sells them, and can they be bought with different degrees, im assuming its pinion angle related. Also, i have an adj trac bar to install, at 4.75-5inches of lift, would it be recc to install a trac drop bracket????? Thanks guys

I just did the IRO hnt. I am at five inches lift I always had 4 degree shims and after I did the SYE I left them in and its perfect, no vibes at all. Dont know if that is your issue but from what I understand you need to get the pinion almost parallel to the driveshaft.

how new or old is the rear drive shaft? are the u-joints okay?? is the drive shaft correct length for your setup? id start there.

sye/transfer and driveshaft is roughly 8-9 mos old, drive shft was a rebuilt unit/and re-balanced, neither items were wheeled with, they came off a buddy's jeep so i know that they were solid, im assuming its prob something to do with degree shims, im fairly new to 4wd vehicle and jeeps, not too educated with all the 4wd parts and solutions yet!

Not sure what DC is, but im using a rebuilt front shaft, the jeep it came from was using the same diff and trans that im using, if thats worth anything. Im hoping it just may be a angle issue, the leafs i got from the yard were new, but no id as far as what company or what the rate or lift it provided. The only tags that were on them were shipping #'s, front/rear designation, and a company called standens...

if you have had the rebuilt drive shaft done correctly for new specs it should look identical to your front drive shaft, containing a cardian joint on the closer side to the TC and the single u-joint towards the rear end and is probably longer. pic of drive shaft and rear end from side of vehicle would be awesome! pictures worth a thousand words.

DC is double cardan, the style of driveshaft that is in the front of our trucks from the factory, and now is in the rear of your truck.

I had this issue. It may not be your rear but your front based on the angle of your control arms. Short area require a drop with that much lift. If the vibe if for sure the rear shim it. That's the cheapest fix.

Check all the DS U joints, my vibes were result of bad u joints after SYE didn't cure them.
