S-10 Leaf Spring Swap
I read somewhere (cant seem to remember where though) that it was possible to take the entire leaf spring from a s10 and put them on the cherokee and it would move the rear axle like 2in back and give 4-5in of lift. Can any one tell me weather or not this will work. Reason im asking is my brother is getting a lift kit with new springs for his s10 blazer so I was just gonna use his old springs and think Id like to lengthen my wheel base any how. Figured this would be a cheap and hopefully somewhat easy mod to do.

I read it would move it back somewhere too like 2 or 3 inches but I never saw how much it'd lift it I was wondering the sane thing I thought it would be cool. But would you need a longer driveshaft and what about the gas tank? You would also need to cut the back wheel wells quite a bit I think

I'm running a s10 bastard pack from a 2wd s10 just cut the eyes off of both ends as close to them as possible, and put the whole s10 leaf under the xj main leaf and you'll average anywhere from 3" to 4.5" of lift, the axel down not move back because you use the same center pin location on the xj main leaf

I am currently running a Full S10 leaf pack, and I was able to maintain my axle center by moving my Front mounting point 1.5" forward and drilling an offset hole in the spring perch on the axle 1.5" back. Also had to relocate the shackle mount forward and fab a longer shackle. Or you can run the Chevy belltech lowering shackle
I had to relocate all my mounts out of necessity since all my bolts snapped trying to remove the stock springs.
I gained 3.5" of lift, but my springs were tore up and de-arching.

I'm not a fan of bastard packs, the stock main leaf is weak, since it is possible to install the entire spring assembly I consider it a better option!

Well the full S10 pack is quite a bit stiffer, but it's also 3 longer, it flexes fine but some may disagree with me
