Running 4" lift. Need help going to 4.5"
I have a 4.5" Rubicon express lift but with a warn front bumper w/ winch and a warn rear bumper w/ tire carrier it sits at 4" even.
I was just planning on doing a 1/2" or 3/4" aluminum spacer for the front. My question is how should I go about raising the rear 1/2"? Can I add a leaf? Or a helper spring?
I think the rear has a full leaf pack. I believe it has around 5 leafs. I'd rather alter the springs then add a longer shackle.
Any suggestions would be great!

spend $30 on coil spacers. or just buy a pair of these for $67 http://www.seriousoffroadproducts.co...ducts_id=86774
dont forget the 5% discount code
then save up for shackle relocation for the rear. or buy a taller shackle.
RE makes this shackle that adds 1.5" of lift http://www.seriousoffroadproducts.co...ducts_id=90189
do it the right way. not the cheap way

I'm having some rubbing and since the kit is designed to run at 4.5" might as well take advantage of it. That extra 1/2" will take care of a lot of my rubbing issues. I would do a inch but I'm not sure if i'd have to change something else blah blah and that's just a headache I don't want.
So considering all I have to do is add a small spacer in the front and whatever in the rear. Not bad for getting another 1/2".

It's done the right way. I have those exact springs on my jeep right now. If you read my original post I'm looking to add 1/2" because of all the weight on my jeep is making the whole suspension sag 1/2".
I'm looking for ways to lift an already lifted rear. And adding 1/2" spacer to the front is not a cheap way.
The fenders are cut.

not sure it will help though. I've talked to several people and they say a winch bumper would sag the suspension 1/2" Hate to buy new springs and have them be the same.

How is a 1/2" spacer NOT a cheap way?
Shackles for the rear = 70$ ish
spacer for the front = 30$ ish
Seems pretty cheap to me.

Spacers and shackles is the best way for him. I have never seen an 1/2in shackle tough. I looked and the shortest ones are 1in. I think the MJ shackle might be 3/4in but I am not sure. By the way I would like to know why the OP doesnt want a longer shackle in the rear? A slightly longer shackle and shorter leafs is better than tall leafs on a stock shackle.
