Run dual whips, one for FM radio, one for CB
i was wondering if it is possible to run dual whips and have one be the antennae for the FM radio, and the other for a CB antennae?
i don't see too many people run dual whips, since our jeeps arent wide enough to utilize the full capability of duals.
Also if i mount them on my rear bumper, will a 4 ft whip be tall enough to get good transmission and signal, or does it not reach far enough above the roof?

I've got a 4ft on my bumper and it gets good CB reception. I don't use it for really long distances though.
You need to buy a converter thing for your antenna if you're going to be using it for FM. There was another thread on this not too long ago.

You don't need this unless your running both radios on one antenna.
All you need to do is switch the plug on the coaxial cable to this style and your good to go. Radio Shack used to carry them, but not sure if they still do.

You would need a diplexer like this one: http://www.dxradiostore.com/servlet/...-STEREO/Detail
