WHen I try to turn the engine over it just sits there and cranks for a long time and then finally fires up. It has a real nasty idle for the first minute or so. Like it sputters a lot. Any ideas?!?! (it didn't sputter till after I put on a new crankshaft pulley)

I dont know what year your Jeep is, but they are all basically the same.
I think on a 99 its on the drivers side of the bellhousing.
A bad or going bad cps can cause all sorts of problems

Hm, then I may try to check for a vacuum leak, that would be free to test.
It also would be free/cheap to test the fuel pressure at the rail.
You should be about 45-50 psi. If you arent then you may be looking at a fuel pressure regulator or a fuel pump.
Beyond that it may be a crack in the intake or exhaust manifold.
There are honestly so many things that it could be.
