Installed the moog replacement and didn't have to do much adjusting at all its almost the same. Ive been about 400 miles just this past weekend to see if anything else was going to fail and see if maybe it was the track bar that was messing up the TRE. But it held up strong took it down some pretty tough trails and beat it up a little seemes to be holding up just fine. Laying the two next to each other there isn't much of a size difference but the RC one defiantly looks a little cheaper made and also its not a RC part. It dosen have any part numbers on it at all though. The only thing it says on it is "Shelly".

Default don't buy Rough Country

This is the second lift I have bought from RC and i am done. Nothing but problems and bad customer service.

Ryan] Hello, how may I help you?
[Visitor] i am making sure the order i placed yesterday was correct.
[Visitor] SalesOrder No

[Visitor] I was making sure that the track rod bushings are going to fix the tie rod end of the track bar that wiggles back and forth and is making my steering bad
[Visitor] i didnt think you could repair tie rods?
[Ryan] do you know the part number of the track bar you have?
[Visitor] no
[Visitor] it came with the 4.5 extreme short arm about 3 years ago
[Visitor] its adjustable
[Ryan] so you have a fixed bushing kit on one end and then a tie rod end on the other correct?
[Visitor] yes
[Ryan] those are not the right parts. They send you the bushings for our newer style track bar
[Visitor] thats what i thought, i told the guy i probably needed the new tie rod end, and he said this would fix it
[Visitor] this track bar only lasted 8000 miles. do you have replacement parts that are better quality
[Ryan] we do not. You can get a Moog end at the auto parts store. Moog number ES3096L
[Visitor] ok, how about the other end
[Ryan] it depends if yours has the 1pc or 2pc bushing
[Visitor] do you have my order on file. I have bought 2 lift kits from you guys
[Visitor] could i send you a pic?
[Visitor] can you refund my money on the bushings you are sending me that i dont need?
[Ryan] you will have to fill this out to send them back and get a refund http://www.roughcountry.com/returns/
[Visitor] send them back because your guy is clueless? I said i needed a tie rod end, he said you dont need a new jony joint.
[Visitor] does he not know the difference?
[Ryan] the guy that did it is newer. He prolly did not know we had a different one
[Visitor] his bad, not mine.
[Ryan] it is but to refund they have to have the parts back
[Visitor] i have spend over 2 thousand dollars with you guys and you are going to make me go to the post office for some rubber peices that i dont need? doesnt seem right
[Visitor] I guess i will talk differently about rough country with my four wheel drive club. i have always defended you guys.
[Ryan] I am very sorry. It is not my decision it is just company policy that we have to have the parts back to refund money
[Visitor] many guys from my club said you have sent this stuff for free sometimes. thats not true. you guys are sending me stuff i didnt order
[Ryan] if you were within a year it should have been warrantied
[Visitor] you need to train your workers to not screw over long term customers
[Visitor] jonny joint and tie rod end getting confused. thats ridiculous

Rough Country Tie Rod Ends are crap! I had one break on my "HD" RC track bar while i was on an on-ramp getting onto the interstate at about 55 mph. I was able to keep her stable but just barely. VERY scary. axle all the sudden jumped to the left about 6 inches.

I will NEVER buy anything from rough country ever again because of this!

You must be one of the really lucky ones, because they are a POS. I've replaced every thing on my XJ RC x series 4.5" lift except the coils, and the control arm tubes. I could have bought a good quality long arm lift for what this POS cost me.
