Default rough country 6.5 in x series lift vs rc 6.5 in x series long arm

I am looking to get the 6.5 in x series lift from rough country but I don't want to get the long arm mostly because it is cheaper and I don't think I'll need a long arm for what I do. Anyone have one any I'm puts would be great

At 6.5in of lift your going to want long arms or at least control arm drop brackets depending on what type of wheeling you plan on doing.

I was in the spot as you were a month ago. I could'nt decide bewteen short arms or long arms. I ended up going with the long arms and im glad that i did. The short arms are cheaper but not by much when you factor in the price of the drop brackets. Go long arm you'll be Happier in the long run.

Why do you need drop brackets for the lift?

You don't "need" them but they give you better control arm angles for a better ride on road and more flex off-road.

Long arm is the way to go if you have the money.

If you intend to actually drive it on or off road, you need a long arm at 6.5".

Based off your comments I recommended doing more research.

If your just wanting to mall crawl around with a big lift and 35s and don't care how it drives, then by all means buy a 6.5" rough country shortarm lift.

Long arms are really "needed" once you cross over 5" of lift. Your control arm angles become to steep with short arms and the drivability suffers. Personally I ran short arms at 5.5" lift. It did good, off road, but when I finally went to long arms And realized what everyone was saying I wished I'd done it much sooner.

Buy the long arms it will ride better on the road and will flex better off road.

Do you have lockers?
Do you have armor?

3.5" with 33's is capable of a lot of stuff with the above.
