So when I bought my house last year the previous owners took down the entire pool gate and it has just been sitting in the shed. It dawned on me the other day that I might be able to use it has the material as my roof rack. It's all square steel tubing, not sure of diameter just yet but do you guys think it would be sufficient to build a decent rack?

If you can weld or use some nice plates with self tappers I'm sure it'll come out nice
