rock krawler 6.5 coil conversion
I've googled this over and over. Cant find installed pics or many people that have it.To start, anyone running this?, whats your opinions?,pics of it installed?, do I need frame stiffeners with this kit or just bolt and weld it on?, if I need stiffeners wheres the best place to get them? I know its alot of questions but why not answer them all at once.

Most people build there own is why u dont find much... They just cost to much... i cant picture the kit not involving welding and no u dont have to have stiffners... However it is a good time while your under there... I recommend ruff stuffs stiffners... Goodluck man!

i studied the wj rear coil set up and it doesnt seem hard. It has a A-arm, two lower control arms and coil for each. Also sway bar. Only issue I can see is shock mounting and the A-arm brackets. It looks doable if you are good with a welder and metal work. Weld the coil spring cups on the axle and get the cups that hold the spring on the uni body onto the xj. I've been thinking about this for a while.

except the whole point of doing a 4 linked rear is for flex when offroading... the WJ is no better then a cars suspension when offroad... if your going to go through all this trouble and money why not make it worth it? WJ lug patterns arnt the same... lower control arms are weak and junk... upper control arm is a crap design for any kind of lift... and most are still a dana 35... few aluminum dana 44's but are still weak junk... shock alignment are the complete last thing to worry about... the springs dont even line up on the frame rails of the XJ...
this swap just makes no sense and i cant believe anyones even looking into it honestly... no offense bud but its just as goofy as the guy thinking hes going to fit a IFS H1 hummer suspension under his XJ... lol...

huntingman, the wishbone suspension works incredibly well when the correct ends are used.....i agree the wj wishbone is no bueno cuz it has no joint to flex on, but wishbones have been around longer than the wj....even in the cherokeee world.

i do find it odd that in the link above he used solid bushings upper and lower... ive only seen that on street rods and such... most off road rigs ive seen with it run heims... has to be a huge difference in flex...
