Rock Krawler 3 link mounts
Got my 3 link long arm mounts today.
The 3 link bracket was different than what i expected. Unless I'm dense (and I probably am), the upper arm mount is set perpendicular to the lower mount.
I figured the bolt holes would both be horizontal.
Am I missing something?

You're not missing anything, the upper arm is bolted in up and down, and not side to side on the RK brackets. What's the actual question?

With the UCA mounted in that configuration wouldn't the joint there be limiting down travel at a certain point? Or is there plenty of travel allowed by the joint for this not to be a factor?
I plan on building my arms with 2.5" Johnny Joints. Plan, but I'm not as educated on this as others, so I'm asking/researching...obviously.
No, figured making my own wouldn't be too difficult. And IIRC they come with heims, I wanted JJs.

Mine came with rebuildable JJs.
The joint in that orientation comes nowhere near limiting travel. The coil will unseat LONG before that joint is maxed out.

I've been looking around and can't find a straight answer. If you were to get the arms from RK with the mounts, how much modification is needed to install?
I see that the mounts are bolt on (although I'm assuming it'd be smart to weld them on for added strength).
Is the only real mod (other than cutting off the stock LCA frame brackets) that you'll need to weld a new mount on the axle for the upper arm?

The RK has the upper arm on the drivers side, so the mount cast onto the pumpkin ahould be fine, no new axle side mount needed.
