Right front speaker wires are not purple and red
 

I'm putting in new speakers and my right fron wires are both light blue. One with a red stripe the other with a black stripe.
Everywhere I've looked says they should be purple for + and dark blue/ red for -. What gives...should I assume red stripe is positive and black stripe is negative...ugh I need an oat soda!!!

It will work fine either way

My 1999 is the same as yours. Red positive black negative.

While it will make sound either way, you could possibly hook that speaker out of phase with the other door. This will greatly affect bass response and staging. It can also muddy up overall sound.
