You guys have any info on retreads, I've heard they are garbage but they're cheap, anyone vouch for them being alright, or are there any good ones

one of my friends runs 33" treadwrights w/ the BFG A/T pattern. he says they were cheap, and they do what he needs them to do. They look exactly like my real BFG A/T, i couldn't even tell they were re-treads

Treadwrights are the way to go for retreads, go for the guarddogs, similar to a goodyear mtr, no complaints so far and I ended up with a "bad batch" on my set, ( they look a bit weather rotted after 6,000 miles of use and abuse) still driving on them and they also sent a new set for free....can't beat that for customer service!

I have a set of TW on my XJ and they have been a great tire. I have the 31" MTR flavor, put them on before winter and never been happier. They balanced without an issue and have been wearing down evenly.

I was going to get some a year ago when they still had them listed, I waited to long and had to buy some TSL's.

I have had a set of 33s on my Jeep for two years now with zero issues. They did require a lot of weight to balance. If I were you I would save the ten bucks and not get the "Ultragrip" or whatever they call the traction aid now. I ordered my tires with it and don't think it makes that much of a difference, but I have not compared a set with and a set without side by side.
