Default Replacing shocks

My XJ currently has a 3 inch lift, and Procomp ES3000 shocks in the front, can anyone recommend replacement shocks? I can go ahead and get more es3000s, but I wasn't sure if something else in that price range would be better. Thanks for taking the time to read this.

5100 is the series. they seem to be the best bang for the buck. the next step is 5165 which have resievors and are 200 dollars a piece, compared to 80 dollars.

Good luck having this answered with something other than "measure, measure, measure".

If you get 5100s you shouldn't have to measure, don't they have sets with a selected lift height range? I'm in the same boat, I need new shocks and am leaning towards 5100s.

Yeah, they do, just wasn't sure if the 2"-3" set was actually large enough for my 3" inch lift.

Yeah I'm in the same position. Looking at 3.5"-4.5" or 5.5"-6.5" for my 4.5" lift. I'm probably going to get the bigger size so I'm not limited in travel.

Sooooo true. The biggest difference is when your control arm angle is good and your shackle angle is good. Then the Bilsteins really shine.
