So I have the 95 XJ and I totally hate the interior of it since I have no power windows and no power lock and the dashboard looks pretty old. I have been offered a 99 XJ with no engine and transmission for $600.00, there is no rust and no dents, it looks awesome.

I was wondering if its worth it to throw some money at this swap. I was also planing on upgrading my 8.25 to 29 spline. My XJ is good, there is no rust or dents either and the paint is still nice, I just hate the interior.

I want to know if it is just putting my engine and transmission to the 99 xj.

4.3L XJ

You can swap the motor if you do one of two things. First is use the 99 intake manifold and sensors on your 95 engine. Second is swap the 95 engine in and use the old ECU and you will need to swap the instrument cluster also and do some wiring

Sell your 95, use that money to pick up a motor/trans for the 99.

I have a 6.5 inch lift kit and 35s on ny 95xj, plus ive put some money in the cooling system as well. My plan was to keep both and just put the motor, trans and lift to the 99 one. What do you think?

You will have to put the 95 wiring harness and computer in the 99, I "think"
