renix ecm minimum wirering
This is a trail rig only so keep that in mind. My 87 cherokee runs great but the factory wiring and po wiring are terrible. During my process of caging it and doing a custom dash i ripped out all the wiring in the dash and engine bay. Literally the only harness left is the engine management, the headlights, ac, tail lights,tcm and wires, etc is all gone. Also if i can id like to delete the diagnostic ports since i dont have a computer to read them.
Just wondering what wires are absolutely needed to make the motor start and run correctly. The ign switch is removed for an aftermarket one going in the dash. Fuse panel is gone also for my own. Iwent through both ecm plugs and either cut things i didnt think i needed or the wires were fubar and needed to be redone.
Here what i got so far let me know what i should change
anything with a note that im unsure about please explain it.

a 7- oxygen sensor heater ground cut unsure what it does

c 3 start signal cut figured since ign was on new switch this was unneeded
c 4 neutral safety switch cut trying to bypass it if possible
c 5 sync imput cut no idea what it does

c 7 tps imput kept
c 8 mat sensor imput kept unsure what it does right nnow
c 9 not used
c 10 cts imput kept
c 11 injector supply kept
c 12 tx serial data cut wanting to delete data link connector

A7 needs to be grounded if you're gonna rely on an O2 sensor signal. That would be a good thing.
A9 needs to be there.
C5 and C16 should be kept
