In my case I removed the second leaf from the bottom. But I have rc 4.5 springs. The bottom leaf on the RC has the brackets that hold the leaf pack together so obviously I left that one in. Just in my case the RC relocators gave me 3/4in lift after I placed the shackle at 45degrees, but that will be different in each case I suppose depends on your shackle, leafpack and such. After I removed the leaf at first I lost 3/4 of an inch but after a few months they settled (been offroading quite a bit and flexed a lot). They settled to put me at 3inches, so I put the leaf back in and now Im where I started at exactly 5inches. So it looks like removing a leaf is a great way to soften up the leafs so they settle faster, as when brand new they are way more than 4.5. Thats my experience.
