Default Removing carpet, maybe bed lining floors?

The po of my jeep used it as his hunting truck, and he ran deer with dogs, there's dog gear EVERYWHERE. I am using it for a similar purpose plus bogging, and a driver sometimes. I was gunna clean. The carpet but then I thought about bed lining it! Has anyone else here done this? I know people have removed their carpet, but I don't want plain metal floors.

Auto correct fail. Anyway, it's been done plenty of times. I'll be doing the rest of mine this summer. I got the rear area bedlined. Just use google and you'll find a million threads on it. And plenty of builds that have it done.

Tons have done it, I used rustoleum truck bed coating. I'm happy with it.

Here is a question i have never seen answered... How the **** do you get that silver covered rubbery goo off the floor? I can't imagine the bedliner would adhere to it. It looks similar to dynamat. That is the only thing keeping me from doing mine...

I had a 94 that had no headliner and bed liner floors, HATED it. Very noisy inside with a terrible exhaust drone sound, and felt hotter inside. Every time I got out of it my head was pounding. Take it to the car wash and power wash the carpet with hot soapy water and then vacuum up the excess, but do this in summertime so it can dry out properly. Sounds crazy but the car detail places use the hotsy on carpet all the time

Keep the headliner in, that will help a lot more than you think. I loved my bedlined floors in my 93. The passengers in the rear, not so much. The back end of the trans hump gets REALLY hot. Just wire wheel that fuzzy stuff off, then scotch brush or wire wheel the ENTIRE area. I used 2-3 average coats and it was never too loud. It's kind of a "to each his own" topic.

It is a spray on, sound, heat, vibration dampening coating. Very thin and light weight compared to bed liner. Google it for more detail.

How do you like it? Has it scratched/ scuffed yet? I did the entire floor in monstaliner 2 weeks ago and i put cardboard down in the cargo area to protect the liner from the wheelchair I have back there.

I put the carpet back over the bedliner so I'll have to inspect it next time I'm working in my cargo area.

ALL of the wrangler guys use it and the people over on pirate4x4. Google it there is literally dozens of people have used it and posted pictures and reviews and stuff even after a few years. Its a bedliner. I think your wheelchair wont hurt it. lol
