Default removing axle parts

well i got a dana30 and dana35 for free,they have 4.11 gears and the front axle has a aussie locker,i just need to take the gears and carriers out and put them in my axles,how do i do this?

why dont you just put the whole assembly in , this would be the quickest wayunless youve done ring and pinion set up b4

u talkin about swapin the axles? they wont fit,the perches are in the same spot

id take it to a speed shop they do more ring and pinion set ups than local garages your going to need master install kits for both rears

im not saying you cant do it only you no what you capable of wrtenching its like taking apart a transmission standards are pretty straight forward but a automatic is a complete different monster do some searching and read up on it

ive been readin and whatchin vids on it for a long time today,ima take the parts i want out of the axles i found tomorrow then wait till friday to put them in my axles,so i have 3days to finish it till i gotta go back to school

when you do this make sure you keep the bearing caps in the same position and side you pull them off of,same with the bearings and races ,make sure you get all the shims out of each housing some are very thin like paper ,make a mental noteof how easy the ring and pinion turns b4 you pull them do not by any means mix any part from any one you take apart with a nother one .new seals are agood ideas napa has them in stock

after you get the pinion gear out there may be some shims laying in the area were it ws installed check real good.....good luck

ok thanx man,ima need it,i can call a buddy of mine that builds mud trucks and went to the nascar tech school here in NC,but if i was to only put the locker in my dana30 would it work with my 3.55 gears?
