Relocating Cruise Control
So I've been looking at aftermarket steering wheels, but I'm not sure what i would do with my cruise control. I want to be able to still use it. Has anyone seen anyone relocate the switches to the dash? I thought this might be possible. I tried the search but to no avail.

Nope.. never seen it. But.. My cruise didn't work and while troubleshooting it, i had the steering wheel partially apart to check the switches/buttons. They were not the problem, but as I recall, it would have been possible to re-route the wires to the dash or anywhere else with just some longer wires. The wires from the switches run down the column to a connector. That's where you'd unhook 'em and splice in longer wires and run 'em to your dash. Sounds like a lot of trouble for a new steering wheel, but certainly possible.

Summit has a aftermarket control cruise with servo in order for it to work. I would imanage that you trace the wires for the crusie circut then add a small control or even the factory buttons somewhere on the dash, it would really be that hard since your not removing anything just moving it into a different location.
