recommended shock lenght for 6.5 LA
 

anyone know a good length to buy ? 36/24 ?

i think usung the shock that is recommende from the lift maker would be best

I have always taken the shocks off, and either

measured max extension and compression to replace with the same but unknown shock length.

or flexed the vehicle out to max droop and max compression and measure the distance of the mounting surfaces and get a shock thats just longer then that, that way your shocks wont limit your suspension movement.

or to be easy get one recommended by the lift manufacturer if you have a "bolt on kit"

as stated above the only way to get the correct length is to measure your max extension, then get the shock that matches that extension length. then if they are to long compressed you can bump stop. but the worst thing is pulling the piston out of the valve body...
