Recommend Longer Shock
I just had a new leaf pack and extension installed, and the shop is recommending that I get new shocks that are two inches longer than stock. '
So, what is stock length?
Can any of the experts out there recommend something ...
TNX if you can help.

the best way to do it, is take it to a loading dock or RTI ramp, measure with your shocks disconnected, get the longest shock you can with your compression length.
for example, the side that is full compressed, measure mounting point to mounting point and then call your favorite shock company or go to napa and state
" i need the longest shock with this compressed length"
the is the best way to do it,
but all companies have a 0-3" lift shock

I would like to know what you come up with for a shock that is slightly longer than stock.

Link to Monroe specification chart in PDF:
http://www.monroe.com/catalog/Misc-Information
Click on "Mounting and Length Sheets".
My first project is to put on the Max-Air MA765 Air-Adjustable shocks so that I can compensate for the occasional load that I carry (dirtbike on trailer hitch carrier).
It looks to me like the MA765 is the only one that has the correct top and bottom mounts for my '93 (I thought I could find one that was just a touch longer).
Anyway, maybe the chart will help you to find your longer shocks.
