Default rear swaybar

I've read and heard a bunch of people ditching the rear swaybar and everyone says no difference felt. However I do tow sometimes and I don't want to find out 4 hours into a long drive when I hit the steep curving mountains that I should've kept it on, so I just want to hear if anybody that says I should keep it or they have needed it.

No XJ needs a rear sway bar, they are useless. Feel free to ditch it.

On my 96 and 2000 I took off the rear S/B. Ive pulled a 16ft run about boat with my 96 with no swaybar and it does fine..the 2000 also no issues.

I believe there was a factory package at some point that had a rear swaybar delete. Forget about it.. Consider better leafs and/or shocks.

You are correct sir. The Upcountry package deleted the rear swaybar from the factory.

It could be ordered that way on any of them, just worthless weight to haul around.
