Default Rear license plate relocation.

Need to relocate the rear plate with the light. Anyone have any recommendations? I'm looking for a plastic piece with a light that will go over the whole license plate, kind of like the factory mount. I saw one one time, somewhere.

Bought one at Oreillys for around $3.50. I cut a plug off one at the j/y so I could just plug it into my stock plug without cutting my factory wiring.

How is the plate held on with that? I found the light deal on quadratec.
I was looking for something a little wider like this:

thats just a google picture

cant say 100% but if i recall correctly its just some inserts into the hatch and screwed into those, its been a while since i looked as ive realized it will be a while till i get around to my rear swing arm build

my hatch skin is off so ill take a look, i think there might even be a plug in the factory harness in that area even though i didnt have a rear swing arm....thats the nice thing bout jeeps is even if your factory configuration didnt come with the part theres likely a plug for it

I found a pretty decent plastic holder + light on quadratec, you bolt the holder to the car and the plate to the holder.

If anyone knows of any cars with the plate light thing like I linked above so I can just go get one at the scrap yard... that would help also.

You can get them cheaper from the auto parts store. Check the trailer section. I used one on my old XJ and mounted the plate to the bumper (custom 4x4 bumper with tire carier) with "security style" self tappers (allen head with the button in the middle, picked up at Fastenal).

Or... Orielly has the license plate frame with a light on it. I think it was $25. My friend has it on his truck because he has roll pan. Looks clean too. Mounts just like a plate frame and has the plate light. There is also a brake light wired to it that flashes if you have the need for one.
