Rear Leaf Pack which is best and what do i need
I was looking at different rear leaf packs and i like the one from fat bobs garage, they look good and affordable. I have 3 inchs of lift on the front and originally i add just add a leaf but now i would say its almost sags back down to stock on the rear. so if i get the 3 inch leaf springs will they sag at all over time and what hard ware will i need to get along with them?
thanks! (this is my first xj)

Over time they will eventually sag, but that is the nature of the beast. If it doesn't come with u-bolts you will need those. Hopefully you don't live in the rust belt or there's a chance removing and installing those leafs is gonna suck. I had to cut every bolt holding the leafs in on my xj.

When it comes to spring in general the more they cost the better they are. As you have found an addaleaf will NOT fix saggy old springs, for long. As far as hardware I would all new bolts and u-bolts. You are likely to need longer U-bolts with the new packs any way.
If you want to go cheap you could get a set of junkyard S10 leafs. basically you keep the stock main in place, cut the eyes off the s-10 set and mix and match leafs with the 2 packs for a lift anywhere from 1"-4" depending on number and combination of leafs used.

3" lift will give you 3 inches of lift.... That said most lifts will install a little taller than spec'd out, but they will settle in and sag a little with use. Also most lifts do give a bit of extra lift to account for those rigs with added weight of, aftermaket bumpers and winches and such.

The best leaf packs for the money are the Iron Rock Offroad full packs. I have the 3.5" set. Get you a .5 spacer for the front and go for it.

Yes. Maybe no. Probably.
Noone will be able to answer this as each setup has variances. Shocks you need to measure. Brake lines need to be checked and extended or relocated. Track bar could need replacing if not adjustable. Control arms need to be longer and one set preferably adjustable. Above 2-3 inches and your rear driveline angles will need to be compensated for with a SYE, shims and driveshaft or transfer case drop and shims.
If all that has been addressed go for it.

I have the Rustys 3" leaf pack and he tells you its 3 1/2" and that's a good deal. Mine have been on for about a year and I measured them before doing another 1 1/2" lift to it still 3 1/4"'s. Front new springs rear new 1 1/2" Boomerang Shackle's greaseable. They helped with the flex on the leaf springs, I guess jury still out have to wait till some hard trail use.
Rustys has had some good springs in the last few years I used his 3" HD ones because of winch and bumper weight, worked perfect with the extra weight.

all of these packs will settle over time, they just sit compressed all of the time. I'm running a 3" Rough Country pack with a Road Master Active kit with relocated shackles. The setup will actually force the leaf to remain curved when loaded, making them operate a lot better. Not to mention, I can actually adjust the rear height by adding or removing pre-load from the extension spring. I am absolutely in love with this setup.
