Default Rear extended brake line question

Alright so question for you guys with extended lines on your cherokee. On my d35 housing where the soft line comes off of the hard line and then goes down to the housing there is a "t" where the line splits into the 2 hard lines running to the 2 drums. Mine is welded on (the housing), as I imagine most everyone's is, did you guys just cut the old one off and weld the new one on? most the the lines I have see come with some sort of distribution block like "t" like that at the end like that. How did you guys secure yours so it wasnt just hanging?

Shouldnt be welded. There is a nipple on that block that should have another rubber hose on it, the axle breather. Should be able to pull the breather hose off and there is a bolt head, 14-15ish mm.

If it is welded, sounds like your only choice is to carefully grind the T block off and try not to mangle up the threads in the axle tube so you can put it back together the correct way.

alright I am at work and cant get under my Jeep but on this line there is that little cube at the left hand side that serves as a "t" for the brake lines running to the drums, there is an existing one on my d35 currently with my stock soft line. It is welded to the axle tube, I assume from the factory.
My question is do you cut this off and weld the new one on the extended line on. or how does that work?

The T-fitting just connect the 2 brake lines to the axle breather hole.
These pics would give you some ideas.
