Rear 6" lift springs to stiff.
My Jeep Cherokee has a ride that the mech. says he needed a kidney belt. It has always had a stiff ride since I finished the build 1.5 years ago.
I just had the drive shaft rebuilt which included a new yoke.
Loosened shackles, 28# air in tires, new Rancho shocks. Every thing is 100%, nothing loose.
Improved the ride but still very stiff. Before we loosened the shackles and pushed down on the rear it hardly moved
The shop feels the rear springs are way to stiff.
My feeling is any 6" lift springs I buy would be that stiff. The Cherokee weighs a little over 3000#s and rear end is very light.
Thought I might remove a spring on each side?
Any one experience this and or solved the problem. Looking for some ideas
Thanks in advance
Dennis

Thank you for the interest and information. I will look into the shackle location and make adjustments as needed. I knew if I asked here I'd get the answerer. Can I use mine or due I need after mkt. replacements?
I mentioned it had a 6" lift. I would have liked 4" but if you look at the info on my Cherokee it has a Chevy V8. The drivers side exhaust pipe is above the front drive shaft. If I lower it to 4" inches I'm sure the front drive shaft will hit the exhaust pipe. I could run the pipe around the front but I'm reluctant to do that, and then there's the cost to replace all the hardware.

Mine is still not right but that's with the stock shackle it's WAY better than it was before the relocation brackets

Called several suppliers looking at their web sights and only Morris had one[does not look like yours]. One Supplier slammed the idea as not substantial enough for long term.
Can you refer me to the supplier you used.
Thank you

His stuff is pure quality! That's what I got for my relocation brackets cause they were direct bolt in with no drilling through the floor. (That was my stipulation). I've had them on well over a year and absolutely no complaints
