Default rcx longarm

Hi
so there is a dude parking in our parking lot with a sweet xj that NEVER moves. I park next to him, and find myself under both of our vehicles comparing pretty often... he has an rcx longarm kit up front, and i was thinking of offering him $200 to trade for my stock short arms, and was wondering what yall thought. I have never met the guy, but he didnt build his jeep, and this kit looks pretty new. The swap LOOKS like it would be easy enough. Oh, im on 5-6my inches of lift :-)

If he trades you for 200 bucks he's lost his damn mind.

Also, you're on stock short arms with 6"s of lift?

Yeah, its a 4.5 inch rough country lift with two energy suspension polyurethane pucks, and jcr boomerang shackles in the back... so somewhere between 5-6.5 i would say. It actually is pretty nice on the road i wont lie, but maybe that has to do with the jcr steering or rough country track bar or something, idk. But yeah, a sye and long arms are def on the list.

Does his Jeep still have the factory LCA mounts on the frame?

Why would anyone want to trade down in performance? I think the long arm guys learned a lesson a while ago (one I should have learned. Buy once, cry once)

Good luck though!!! Stranger things have happened.

Wtf who in the right mind would swap for $200. How do you know he didnt build the jeep if you have never talked to him

Hahahahaha.... really?

I bet that guy will say the same thing.

Just save your $200 until its $600 and then you can buy your own LA kit. And sell off your short arms.

That, or just go do the swap and hope he don't come out... lol.

i have a feeling these arent even long arms either because the control arm drop brackets say RCX on them like this: http://www.google.com/imgres?um=1&hl...8&tx=133&ty=60

They're not long arms then. They are CA drop brackets. I think you can buy them for $200.

The ones posted are the ones he has. My bad. I figure he doesnt use the jeep anyways, so maybe the extra $200 could help him get it running. How much should i offer for the full rxc setup shown in the pic? What are the benefits of that setup?

And i asked my buddies (everybody knows somebody in the army, and he is just in another company) why his jeep never moves, and they said he bought it like that and it has a slew of issues.

I found another thread about rocky road outfitter control arm drop kits and for the wheeling indoor that looks like my best bet and would just be a bit more expensive for their product new. It looks beefier and better anyways
