RC vs. Rustys
lookin to get a new 4.5" lift RC, vs, Rustys... Ive heard RC has junk leaf packs, any suggests, thanks

X2 on this ?, but 3" for me.
Im gonna put a 3" on my '96. Which will be better for me? Both about same price after you add in the HUGE shipping charge at Rustys(Really $160?) Rough Country(series 2) is $609, and Rustys is $598. Should I get the adj. arms ? |
RC leaf packs are fine.

Everyone says Rusty's shipping is horrible and online it is but I called them when I ordered my lift and they gave me a way cheaper price for shipping.

Rustys.....live mine..my buddy has rc and it rides like a dozer. Call rustys for a better shipping quote. Rustys 4.5 inch comes with trac bar control arms...the whole setup...they really make quality stuff

I say search the forum, and do your research. there's plenty of info out there. like...
https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f67/br...-parts-108883/ or https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f67/do...-packs-108925/ in my mind, bushings are of less of a concern than weld points. But they are obviously both of importance. Just use the search button and plan on spending some hours digging through threads. |
i have been, so before i buy i thought id throw it out there 1 last time, im leaning tward the Rustys

Ive seen more major part failures with rusty's parts than i have RC on the boards. RC has had issues with flex joints( might not even be in the kit your looking at) and some users have had sagging issues but some seemed to be from over flexing thier xj. Rc has a lifetime warranty byt he way. So if you do run into issues they are good about fixing them.

Search there is always one of these up

I've had my Rusty 4.5" for about 70,000 miles now. I've also got the track bar and steering conversion. All has worked well for me.
I do not however care for their steering conversion. Look at FrankZ steering from his website. But for lift. No issues what so ever. Call instead of online. I talk to Zack. He's a cool cat. |
