Default Rc 6.5" lift coil springs wont fit on the d30 axle mounts

I'm getting down to shocks and discos from my 6.5 rc la kit and the springs won't fit..do I cut the spring so it will fit or heat it up and bend it to fit..any input or ideas would be appreciated also if anyone has ever ran into that problem besides me?

What exactly doesn't fit? The small end goes on top if that helps.

I understand that but the bottom end has the tail that curves in like the top so I can't get it on the mount

You may need a spring compressor if they are too tall and you have to spin them around to seat them once they are on the spring buckets. I run 6" springs and even at full droop with the shocks disconnected if I fight and jack up one side and stand on the other I can get it in but not the second without compressors. I use strut compressors and you can rent them at auto parts stores for around $30.

Do your springs look like this? Or are they pigtailed at both ends? On this pic the left side would be seated in the coil pad on axle.. it has a valley in it to seat as you turn.

You need to call RC cause those won't work, not sure what they are for.

Once you start heating they can loose some of the spring rate. I'd call them in the morning and they'll send out the right set.
