RC 4.5" aal lift vs. the X-series lift
Hey,
i live in florida where i'll be wheeling only trails and some occasional mud ,and i was wondering if it is worth the extra 400 dollars or so to upgrade to the x series lift?
What are some pro and cons? I'm just not sure which to purchase and would like some opinions on the subject.
Thank you

The x-series includes better control arms, brake lines, and a mess of other stuff.
Whatever lift you get, consider getting full leafspring packs instead of AAL.

FUll leaf packs and the x series will drive a whole lot nicer on the road.
and with 4.5 inches of lift u will most likely have to do a Slip yolk eliminator and new rear drive shaft. or a tcase drop will maybe work.

lets take a look at what is included in each kit
4.5" AAL KIT 623H (Kit) :: 633H (System)
-Front 4.5" coils
-front and rear RC 8000
-rear AAL (same AAL as the 3" kits)
-adjustable lift shackles 1-2"
-lower control arms (fixed length not adjustable)
-t case drop (1")
-sway bar links (not disconnects, not adjustable)
NOTE: I know they relocate the brake lines... but new soft (or better yet braided lines) would be a GREAT idea... mine are relocated at 3" and with the sway bars disconnected I can damn near tear them off...
cost $460
4.5" X Flex KIT 633X
-front coils 4.5"
-front and rear 9000 RC shocks
-4.5" full leaf packs
-upper and lower X-flex control arms
-t case drop
-adjustable track bar
-adjustable sway-bar disconnects
has better shocks... BUT it uses stock shackle... I doubt the rear will flex very well with such a big arched spring and those little stock shackles
either way it comes with WAY better parts and is MUCH more complete
cost $830
however for a few ($80) you could have the 6.5" X-flex kit
which has the 4.5" X-flex leafs springs with the 2" lift shackle and as such it should flex GREAT
the front includes 6.5" coils, but on short arms at 6.5" it might ride a little rough up front
at $900 it is a hell of a deal

I think he probably meant brake line relocating brackets, which you get for the front and rear with the X series.
take into consideration that you are probably going to need most of the part the x series comes with, so it just makes sense, well at least to me to go all out, since you get full leaf packs and upper and lower arms, and everything else it comes with extra.
