Default Raspy intake when cold?? Normal?

Hello all,
I recently installed a AEM Brute Force intake on my 2000. First thing in the morning when I fire her up the intake makes a raspy sound that lasts less then a minute then goes away. The sound is coming from the filter itself and all the connections are good and tight.
Is this a normal sound with performance intakes?

Yes, you're going to hear more air movement in a performance intake.

Yea I know, but this isnt just the normal sound my new intake makes. It's kinda hard to explain but it almost sounds like what I'd imagine itd sound like if u removed the filter completely and just had air sucking Ito the pipe? It freaked me out the first time I started it cold haha.

Idle air control valve IAC is letting more air in on start and then closing after a couple seconds of running . Normal you just cant hear it with the stock air box.
