Rancho RS9000XL
So the shock saga continues. I finally got my RS9000XLs installed today, based on the recommendation of Rancho tech support. The fronts appear to have about 2.5 inches greater extension but the rears are about 1 inch shorter. Besides needing new shocks (I'm pretty sure the old ones are original), my 3" lift was causing problems when going over expansion joints and speed bumps because my stock shocks were maxing out on extension and my Jeep was going airborne. I don't see how 1 inch less travel is going to help this. Idiots.

run bar pin elminators in the rear until you get longer shocks.

I think I'm going to have to run bar pin eliminators and RS999330 rear shocks with extended bump stops. The 129s (bar pin) only have 6.75 inches of travel with a 13 inch body. The 330s have 10 inches of travel but the body is 16 inches.
