Raised my hood for ventilation

i've done that too. but not 100% for just ventilation, but mostly because my hood kept catching on my plastic cowl, not letting me open my hood without snapping the cowl to pieces.
i used a couple bicycle rear axle spacers and longer bolts.

Or just a clean, properly functioning cooling system, and good HD fan clutch (ONLY NAPA part# 272310) with a stock trans cooler and a non beat to crap A/c condenser not blocking air.
Appropriate axle gear ratios for your tires go a long way too.
Unless you like that whole rusted look goin' on in the top of the bay after a year or 2 lol.
Just kidding.

Lol I see your point but dude I'm in the desert and slow going off Road makes my cooling fan runs non stop. But I will probably be upgrading my cooling system. I also have no Trans cooler and my AC works.

Hey if your talking about upgrading your cooling system . I picked up a cheap 2 core radiator for my xj cost me 75 bucks on eBay and took my ac condenser out cause my pump has no r12 in it and run to electric cooling fans Plus the clutch fan drop it down Good 30 degrees less then 200 bucks for everything

The Napa fan clutch that Solomon7 is suggesting makes a world of difference in air flow over the radiator at slow speeds. Besides that, your stock one is probably not functioning anywhere near it's designed efficiency.
