raised exhaust anyone?
if i bottom out or if anything were to hit my undercarriage it would probably hit my exhaust first cause its the lowest thing under there, so my question is.. has anyone ever gotten there exhaust tucked up and hidden away so that nothing can knock it loose or hit it? iv been wondering how much it would cost to take it to an exhaust shop to get it higher or if there was a simple way to do this in my backyard..anyone ever try this??

Plenty of folks have raised it up.
That's actually on my list of things to do.
Tho, your factory exhaust shouldn't hang below your OEM x-member. Perhaps you have a broken hanger?

i did not know that the exhuast was that low. mine is tucked up pretty high and out of the way. im sure you could just go and pick up a new exhaust hanger and pull it up higher.

You can only get it so high. I usually jack up my exhaust as high as i can without getting dangerously close to the floor then weld it together and weld the hangers on the tubing. A small high flow cat is cheap, they are much smaller, and usually built pretty stout. As for the muffler, either plate your existing muffler, or get one of those flowmaster offroad mufflers (the one made from plate steel).

sorry fellas, just checked and the cat and muffler is basically the same height off the ground as the crossmamber. and no my hangers are fine...
but.. i was thinking.. what if i just strait pipe it and take the cat off? do you think it would sound good or be obnoxiously way too loud?

Well, that would be illegal, it will trigger a cat efficiency code, and it will give treehuggers another reason to hate us and our already dying sport.
Just get a small high flow cat. I bought mine for $45 and scrapped my old, enormous cat for $80.

It's a federal law. Florida may not enforce it often but it IS illegal there. With or without inspections.

I noticed a few things since I am in the process of a tummy tuck(flat belly).
A wrangler pipe from the header tucks in front of the oil pan instead of behind it. I have mashed mine where it runs behind the oil pan. So I was thinking of putting a first pipe from a wrangler on it.
Secondly if you remove the resignator and just run a straight pipe towards the back and then a muffler you should be able to keep everything no lower than the frame rails.
