raised alternator mod
I have removed the A/C unit from my '95 Sport in the course of changing the broken motor. A/C doesn't work so I'd just as well not put it back in. Off roading friend mentioned there is a bracket to relocate the alternator from it's original lowered position to up where the A/C was to keep the alternator up out of the water level of mud bogs. Is anyone out there familiar with this mod and where to source the bracket? And eliminating the A/C would then necessitate a short serpentine belt. So perhaps the mod seller recommends a serpentine belt that would replace the longer one when the A/C was in. Any help regarding this mod would be appreciated. That is an awesome write up, but thanks to Photobucket's BS the pictures aren't there anymore lol. Is there anyone else that you may know of that has the pics of what needs to be grinded or modified. I have a 1990 Renix so I have the correct bracket already, and I fried an alternator yesterday maybe I could kill two birds with one stone so to speak when I fix that.
