Default Quick ford 9/44 question.

Been doing a little reading on these axles from what I understand the ideal axles would be from a 76-77 ford f100 or f150? and these are full width correct? Anyone know the gear ratios these came in? From what I understand the Ford 9 would be the big bearing housing and would be a hp44 with welded wedges and disc brakes?

Just trying to confirm a little info before I begin my search.

Thanks,
Justin

Thanks for the help, I found a few bits of good info on the 9 inch as well as the Dana 44. If I can track em down again I will post em up. Seems like these links together could be EXTREMELY helpful to someone.

The carrier break is 3.73 and down, 3.92 and up.

You can run 5.38 gears in a D44.
