quick disconnects not lining up
I just installed some quick disconnects for my sway bar. The driver side is about a 1/2" longer than the passenger side. What would cause this? As well the driver side won't go on unless I hit it with a hammer. Could these be linked together?
Thanks in advance!!!

These were a warranty set that had gone bad. They were the same as the ones I had before.
The left pic is the passenger and right is drivers.

Um...they are adjustable in length. From your picture it appears that one is not threaded into the lower section as much as the other. Adjust them to the same length per instructions and reassemble.

The direction call to adjust the links to 11-1/4" the passenger side is adjusted right but if I adjust the drivers side to 11-1/4" it's to short and won't fit at all.

It's sitting in my driveway so I'd imaging it's fairly level. But I measured from the ground to the bottom of the axle and top of axle to top of the springs on both sides and it seems good. Feel like I'm missing something.

They hardly ever line right up. I always have to either pull down on one side or lift up on the other to get mine in. Always did on the TJ and my friends with YJs, JKs do also. I've found the easiest way for me is to park with the front end up hill and may slightly higher on the passenger side. It's nature of the beast.

my biggest concern is that the drivers side would not go on or come off without a hammer. I took a look and just analyzed why it would not fit correctly and I noticed that the axle portion (not sure what its called) was bent downward, so I took a recent wrench and a cheater bar and bent back straight, the link fit a little better but not great, still needed the hammer just not as bad. Then I noticed that when attached the links were not straight up and down. They sort of angled down. So I decided to adjust the trac bar. Once I undid the trac bar slide the link on with ease, I adjusted the trac bar a few time till it fit, bolted it in and took on and off the link with my hands...easy peasy. There is still a bit of length between the 2 but now its closer to 1/4" instead of a 1/2" so I leave well enough alone after rock solid offloads comment. Time to take the jeep out.

i always had to hit my jks with a hammer to get them both on and off.
when hooking them back up, i always chose as flat of ground as i could. the first one goes on quite easily but the other one i always had to get under the front of the jeep and back press the front of the jeep up with my back to get it to line up, then hit it on the rest of the way with a hammer.
it's always easier to leave the side that is too long to hook up last, it's easier to push the jeep up while under it than it is to pull it down.
the good thing about jks is the bullet tip style pin it slid on then a lynch pin to hold it there.

None are easy, I always wished for a fully auto leveling system like on my Motor Home. Push a button all hyd. self leveling to line them up, push the pin in and snap the lock ring. Really mine aren't all that bad if your about level when you start.
