Which quick disconnects?

I need to replace my front sway bar bushings soon and I was looking at getting some quick disconnects for the sway bar. I have seen some home made ones along with professionally made ones. What do you guys suggest? or what are your opinions on this?

go with cheap as possible...within reason obviously, you don't want flimsy material. They don't do much (assuming your steering is tight and all components are strong) except to control body roll and limit down travel. I used to run JKS but now don't even run any after upgrading to WJ steering 1 ton setup.

I would like a little more down travel for the weekend outings. Some of the trail my buddies and I drive require a little more travel than I currently have. I found some for $130 but I couldn't find much to compare them with.

Rubicon Express, Rough Country, Teraflex, JKS, Skyjacker, and a few others.. There are quite a few options out there!

The Teraflex were the ones I found. Trying Rough Country but couldn't find them. I'll look again tonight. Thanks

I checked out those JKS quick disconnects and I think I'm going to go with those...once I get my next pay check of course

I also have the JKS- too many highway miles to remove completely as its my dd and all the good trails are 200 miles away or so lol. I have had no issues with the JKS and ordering replacement pieces is easy and cheap. I don't think you need to buy top of the line though- it is not all that important.

RockKrawler disconnects. I had them for a bit. Loved them, but when I changed my steering to hiem joints and new trac bar, I had to do away with the swaybar completely. I miss that little guy on the highway.

I think that for the price some of these are, they should have a magnetic latch to hold them when you disconnect them. Is there anything like that? Or does my brain just like to come up with these things? I think I might build my own like that.

I like that idea but could see them being jarred loose.

Yeah, it would have to be a pretty darn strong magnet...plus there's the issue still of holding the sway bar itself up...hmmm
