I am looking to increase my crawl ratio and have found info on the 231 to 300 double but it seems the popularity of this mod dropped around 2011. Any ideas as to why or is there now a better way to go? I have a spare 231 and found a d300 pretty cheap but I can't seem to find the adapter kit. Any suggestions?

That kinda doubler only a few made kits for,I think you can still get it from some guy on pirate4x4.I would run the dana 300 flipped and twin sticked with the lomax gears which are 4 to 1.If you want lower then that you can run a underdrive box like http://offroaddesign.com/catalog/Magnum%20Box.htm which will bolt in front of almost any t case.

not sure if eric is still making these but you can call staangs fab 1 905 336 6668 and talk to eric. he owns staangs. he makes his own kit and can do all the cutting/welding. he is top notch.
