Putco Harness Trouble
Hey guys, I recently installed the Putco harness after reading about the significant boost in headlight performance. The problem is, when I switch my high beams on, they stay on when I flip them back off. So when I push the switch forward my lows go off and my highs come on. When I pull it back the highs stay on and the lows come on as well. I have to turn my lights completely off and then back on to reset to just lows. Is this normal? Was pretty self explanatory, but double checked my work against a write up and I did everything right. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

You'll have to rewire your fogs if you still want to use them. You could extend the 20ga red wire behind the driver's side headlight to the factory fog relay if you wish to keep that functionality.

Nope...although a relay is the cause. OP, you likely have factory fog lights. The quick fix is to pull the factory fog relay under the hood.

Ya know I almost wanted to think so, but figured I was just imagining it. I'll have to put the relay back in and really pay attention when I pull it out to check for sure. Should they be though? I know that the high beam indicator light on my dash was very dimly lit before, but now it's not. Not a big deal, but it was a little annoying lol.
