project low rider - build opinions please
going for 31x10.50x15 on stock steels. 2"BB or 3" kit? (not afraid to cut fenders, will bump stop accordingly, have factory skid plates) will be replacing rear leaf packs with either. discuss...

I am leaning towards the 3" kit, but would like to do lower front control arms and track bar relocation as well. The 2" was appealing because of its simplicity (much cheaper to cut off tin than add control arms, etc) I will start a build sheet when I get the project going
Thanks for all your opinions

3" spacer in the front, shackle or AAL in the rear
replace your shocks or simply extend them a little
then relocate your brake line a little bit... BAM done....

I am disagreeing on the "it will rub so much" comment
if i would have known what i know now about trimming and bumpstops i would have run 31's on a stock height rig
a 2" BB goes for about $100 add about 15 bucks worth of hockey pucks for front bumpstops and a couple bucks worth of square tube to extend the rear bumpstops and you will have a good set up
a 3" off the shelf kit is around $300 for a AAL kit it goes up from there if you get full packs

here is a buddy's 2" 31's the front has a minor trim and relocated flairs the rear has no trim
you can look at this thread there is a bunch of 2" lifted rigs in there
http://www.naxja.org/forum/showthrea...ht=SUPER+STOCK
here is mine, its actualy a 3" lift with AAL the rear is sagged down to about 2.5" but this will give you a good idea of the trim needed this is on 33's
this is with 32's you can see how much room is there to play with
not even near flexing it out

I knew the title would attract attention ... I realize that a 3" AAL kit isn't much more than a 2" kit, but my rear springs are shot! Therefore my first choice of a "stage 2" (i.e. one with lower control arms and track bar relocate) 3" kit is currently taking a back seat to new rear leafs and a budget boost (pucks and shackles) Thanks for everyone's input. I'm convinced now that 2" and 31's is a viable option. Heck I'm tempted to run 32's at this point. Build thread to follow. Any added input is greatly appreciated. Thanks all!
