Default preformancecurve catalytic converters

my cat has burned out and started rattling so i have planned on getting a new one from preformance curve, my question is, what is the difference in the "heavy load" cats and the regular ones? and i will be running just cat so should i get a cat with turndown? which one would sound better? im looking for a deep throaty sound without buying a flowmaster or anything of the sort..

I have this one that I just installed on my Jeep two days ago...

I can't comment on how much of a difference it made sound wise because at the same time I installed a Magnaflow 2.5 inch stainless steel catback.

I can say however that the quality is nice, it's got a built in O2 sensor, and there's no CE lights or anything.

Combined with my full exhaust it has a nice deep sound when it idles but it's only really loud when you get on the throttle. Even then, the sound isn't loud, it's more of a deep sound like you would expect from an I6 motor.

In my opinion I would buy one of these cats from them...

Just get the right one for your size setup (2.25 is stock I believe).

sweet. im guessing though that the one you got is better since it has the built in O2 sensor. i have a 98 so i have an o2 on my current cat.

You can get the one with or without the O2 sensor bung. It's only a few dollars difference, other than that they are the same. If you don't buy the one with the O2 sensor bung however you'll have to have a bung welded to the pipe after the cat for your O2 sensor. For that reason I figured it was just easier to buy the one with the O2 sensor bung already on it.

I don't think it will honestly make much of a difference in sound (with a stock exhaust I mean). I suspect it might make a slight difference but nothing that noticeable.
