posi,limited slip and track-loc Q's
Can someone explain to me about posi,"track-loc"? and limited slip in 2 wheel drive and 4 wheel drive? what happens? When watching a xj wheeling 4x4 on you tube in mud, Some times I see the back left tire is not spinning and the fronts throwing mud. Why? How do i know what i have? What kind of axels do i have? Do I have the "track-loc"?

Ummm lockers in the front and open in the rear would do what you are describing I believe. Not sure about your other questions though.

A limited slip uses clutch packs to drive torque to both wheels attached to the differential. For off road applications, lockers are much better, LSDs are more suited to street, off road all but an extremely good LSD (more expensive than a locker) will lose traction once a wheel leaves the ground.
