Poly bushing sleeve on IRO boomerang shackles too small?
Went to install some boomerang shackles after doing the HD offroad shackle box. Bolts that came with the HD kit are an interference fit with the sleeves that came with the iro shackles. Fit is so close that the threaded portion fits but the rest does not. I can pound them in but they're going to be a pain to get out.. Anyone ever have this issue? Thinking about trying to find bolts that fit but I'm afraid I won't be able to find something that fits but isn't too loose.
Any thoughts?

The ones I have came with the HD offroad engineering shackle boxes. What do you suggest if the factory one don't work? Is there a size that does?

I thought the same thing when I installed his boxes. They went in with a little force and have since been removed while tweaking a couple times. This was on oem and stock shackles however. If it doesnt take a lot of force just push em in. My experience was fine.

Its the bolts that HD sends out with their kits. I IRO shackle is meant to be a direct replacement and is made fot the stock metric size bolt. I think HD can cut costs by using a standard size bolt that is slightly larger. Sorry I forget the exact sizes but I went through the same thing and have the same setup you have. I just hammered it in and it has worked just fine. I actually forgot all about it until I read this post.

Thanks guys. I was actually running the stock shackles for a few weeks because I intended to use the stock shackles but they 'bonk' in all locations.
I was actually started pounding the first one in and then realized I wanted a different hole and couldn't get it back out.. I'll pick up some metric bolts tomorrow and post the size here.

That sucker was in there good.. Had to make a ghetto puller to get the bolt back out. Maybe some people get lucky and the fit is better than it was for me, but I would suggest not pounding them in, you may have to cut more than you want to to get the shackle back off if you manage to get the bolt all the way in.
Was going to ream the sleeves out but I didn't have a 9/16's bit so I just picked up some M14 bolts, did the trick.
