Default Pinion/Caster angles front Waggy 44

I'm finally getting ready to have my TNT truss welded onto my 81-85 waggy front D44. I could use some help figuring out if i can get away with out grinding off the outter C's and moving them. Picked up a digital angle finder today. When the pinion is as zero degrees, so perfectly parallel to the ground, my C's are at 12 degrees negative caster. So there is a 12 degree difference between my pinion and C angle from the factory. Should i go 7 pinion and 5 caster? Or could i get away with more pinion and subtract another degree or two from caster? Opinions greatly appreciated!

5 to 7 degrees caster. if you run a decent amount of lift the c's should be turned or else your drivesaft may limit your suspension travel as well as get friendly with rocks.

I have a 4.5 rc full leaf pack. I'm running 31's at the moment but eventually i'll trim and switch to 33's I wont go any higher than that as it's my daily driver. I thought I read that when you go taller lift your caster can be less? No? If i went 5 caster could i get away with 7 pinion? It's getting to be confusing, plus once you add in the window of degree concerning the front double CV driveshaft. Apparently i've read theres a good sized window of moment? Not sure what the stock front double cv driveshafts window is?

I installed the TNT truss on my axle.. I remember it saying set the inner C's tp 7* then set the truss at 0*/level. please recheck your directions.

i would never compensate my caster. ALWAYS run it at 5-7. its a handling/safety issue.

pinion angle isnt too important with the lockout hubs as long as your driveshaft doesnt bind.

How bad is 7 degree pinion angle for my front stock double CV driveshaft?? If i go 5 caster, without rotating C's i'll be able to go 7 max with the pinion..

Follow the direction TNT sent with the truss. They have made 1000's of these trusses, I think they have perfected the way the angles should be.

the only thing i need to do with the truss is weld the sucker on at 0 degrees. You missed what i am asking for. I know what the directions say, i've read them many times.

THe pinion isnt welded at 0*

YOU measure the angle on the C's at 7*.. then you set the truss on top of the axle at 0* and weld it in.... No need to do math, or cut and turn your c's.

Haha! I know, i meant the only thing i have to do with the truss is weld it to the axle at 0 degrees, the truss itself at 0. My question is if i will be fine running 4.5 of lift with a pinion angle of 7 and caster of 5.
