How much of a difference in ride quality did you see?

I was just wondering quality-wise. Probably switching to 5150s when the time comes and I've always heard great things. I'm running RE monotube 512s and 701s right now, could be a better ride for a dd.

This may be true, but they are definetly not the same. I went from re to bilstein 5100 and love them. Put them on my cummins also and made a big difference.

If you're looking at 5150's save your dollars for a bit longer and got for 7100's. I bought 5150's and wish I'd held out a bit longer...

I heard about that too, but I don't think it will be much of a switch because re and bilsteins are both awesome.

I have heard that bilstein makes RE shocks, and also heard that edelbrock makes the RE shocks.

does anyone have some proof of either company making them? I am curious.

Last time I checked Edelbrock manufactured all of its shocks in an Edelbrock facility in Torrance, CA

Superlift, Trailmaster, Skjacker, Fabtech and various other companies sell twintube shocks built by Arvin Meritor (Gabriel)

Pro Comp and Rancho sell twintubes manufactured by Monroe. (Rancho is a wholly owned division of Monroe),

All I know is my Bilstein's 5100's were Made in Germany

I talked with someone from rubicon express over the phone recently. He said that the rubicon express mono tubes were made by bilstein and pretty much identical. He said this because I was concidering using 5100's on my superflex lift.
