Default park brake wont hold in drive but ok in reverse?

I've searched but I cant seem to find the post. Someone else had the same problem as me. I did the rear disc brake swap and now I finally hooked up the e brake. Only problem is it holds really well in reverse but not at all in drive.
Best as I can tell all is in it's right place. I still have a bit of adjustment but I'm a little weary. Is this normal that the e brake holds stronger in reverse?? Could something be in backwards?? All else seems to function well.

Why don't you put it in park and then apply the e brake?

I may be wrong, but to my understanding your brakes should function and hold the same no matter what direction your going.

I tried putting it in park first but when you put it back in drive it wont hold the vehicle.
I agree that it should be the same in drive or reverse, this is why I'm a little stumped.

Yes, but only light on the gas. Otherwise I'm sure it'll break free. In reverse it works like it should. Just in drive it wont hold it idling.

Do you have a single parking brake on one side or both rears connected up?
