Packing dirt bike on reciever
Ive almost got rid of my receiver quite a few times, now glad i didn't since im out a drivable pickup.
been fabbing a hitch rack today. This is first mockup with bike on board. Ill bring bike 10" closer to jeep and drill hole for hitch pin. And some peg anchor a couple gussets and am thinking about tractor heim joints off my bumper to help distribute load. It should be under 300lbs with bike and hitch. main frame is out of 2".25 wall The weight doesn't seem to affect how jeep sits much. But id still like to bring it closer to get rid of leverage of bike alittle I may put a bar through rear tire shoe to make sure bike cant roll backwards and have a fail safe strap anchored to top of jeep so bike can fall away if straps fail. Id hate to drag my baby. https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.che...20a15f142a.jpg https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.che...9e9793e559.jpg https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.che...f352d271fb.jpg https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.che...d47bf9ae10.jpg 10\" closer was perfect https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.che...c10c2881ce.jpg Put a couple small bars where blue lines are https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.che...a0b988de62.jpg Stinger to main crossbar. This is bottom side |
I wish I went with a stock mounted 2" receiver instead of the RC bumper with the receiver for this same reason. Is that a 450?

I used to carry my 450 around the same way. So much nicer than having to haul it on a trailer. Easier to get to remote places for camp too!

Ive got a '20 yz125x, barely weighs 200lbs, thinking I could pull off some sort of load distributing rig up, and run a rack on the bumper receiver.

Yz 125 is 208lbs my bikes 237. Ill trade you
