Default OTK steering

Anyone running OTK steering with a Rubicon Express 1600 track bar. 1600 not the 1660...

You'll need to shorten the T/B and install an OTA Track Bar Bracket.

I've never seen that anywhere else... My problem is the track bar I'm running kicks forward. I don't know why. Just trying to avoid having to get a new one because well... Money is tight, as always.

Unless you want severe bump steer, you will have to get a new track bar and an over the axle track bar bracket. You apparently didn't look into OTK steering. I just went OTK, this is my setup.

Don't go OTK steering until you can afford to do it right. Might as well wait and do a WJ knuckle/brake swap and get the much improved braking and handling too.

I have looked into it. Serious is the only one saying that you need a different bracket... My problem is the RE track bar I have sticks out towards the front for whatever reason instead of just bending down towards the axle mount. It's strickly a wheeler. Doesn't see the road, so b ump steer isn't a problem. The jeep.it's going on, won't be around forever. I'm going to start a new build, when funds begin to show.. haha. It's gonna.probably be a ling drawn out project. But I need steering now... Was thinking I.get what I want for the next one now, and swap it over. See how the stock steering went after two years of wellsville...

No, it's not just me. Anyone that knows even the slightest amount about solid axles and steering geometry will tell you that your drag link and trackbar need to be as close as possible to parallel and as close as possible to the same length to maintain proper geometry.

Get yer Googler out and start reading.

Nothing against your products. Don't have any so I'm not saying it's bad stuff or your wrong. Plain and simple, it's a straight up wheeler. And the money for it is.never there. So if I can just drop 300 to put in OTK steering, id like too. If it's going to require a new track bar and such, I just don't have the extra 200 for it. And I know, save save save. But life gets in the way... And I need this rig ready to go by next weekend. Trying to take my mother wheelen for mothers day haha she's 60. Not so much the adventurous type. She may have a heart attack. So if I can order UTK from you, and it'll be here by like mid to end of the week... I will.

Go with OTK without moving the track bar and let us know how that goes.

You need to buy what you can afford and collect parts and do it right. I've been collecting parts for months to do my otk the right way because the funds aren't there for my toy right now putting baby mama through nursing school. Even on the trail the track bar and drag link will travel different paths pulling the steering wheel back and forth with suspension articulation

Not saying that your wrong, but I hear both sides to that... As of right bow, I've got a stock xj set-up. Gonna throw it in to take moms wheeling next Sunday. I have two drag links, just pick the one with the tighter TRE, can't run my ZJ cross, it's wasted, but I know I've got a stock XJ one. Think I'll just weld a length of angle iron on it and call it good for now. Deal with it in a fee weeks. Just ended up dumping 300 bones to do the rear brakes in my truck (god I hate drum brakes!) Thanks for all the input. I'll repost when I figure out what I'm going to do. Thanks again. Sorry if anyone's blood pressure arose over this...
