Default Onboard Air or Keep A/C

Ok so I am on the fence wether or not to fix my a/c which as of now will need a new condenser and me lines going into it and also an evaporator, or just tear everything out and use it as an air compressor I don't care about the money to fix it and I like a/c my problem is I am installing a 3row champion radiator and I have to put a decent size oil cooler up there for the hydro assist has anyone run that much stuff in front of the rad and have you had any problems with the jeep not cooling as it should??? Well personally I like AC. If it's not a daily driver I would say ditch it. However, for a daily driver during those summer months nothing beats a good AC system. I would be miserable driving my Jeep in the summer without AC.

I am opposite. My ac worked fine, but I never used it. Mine is a dd/ trail rig. I choose to yank all my ac out and convert to oba. I don't use it often, but love knowing that I have it anytime I need it.

I often use oba from my dads tj and plan to convert mine to oba, it also only gets up to about 95 on a good day in my summers. The biggest question is where are you going to mount the tank?

Kinda been wondering the same thing with the still working AC in my 89. My question is what's the out put from the AC pump like. How long to fill the small tire tanks that are used. From say zero to 100 PSI what's the fill time? Are they only goof for just filling up a tire or will they spin say an impact wrench enough to pull 5 lug nuts off?

At idle mine fills in a minute or so. Bump up to 1500 rpms and it fills in 20 seconds. It will run airtools. Bigger tank is better. Compressor put out around 8-9cfm.

Both my dad and my brother have converted ac pumps for OBA and there tanks are mounted in the back of there rigs. I will say that they compressors pump up all my 35s in under two minutes. and we had to set a presure release valve on there systems or they blow there lines.

That's not a bad spot, I have a big speaker box in the back so I lost a lot of the room back there. On tjs they just mount it under the hood they have so much room there
